New Name

Thanks to Mickey's brother, we have a new way to refer to our little soon-to-be fetus growing inside me: Cherickey. This lovely combination of Cherish and Mickey ensures that our baby, whether male or female, will not feel neglected until a gender is discovered and a real name is chosen. Thanks Tim!

Big News!

Friday, March 20 marked the beginning of my 9th week of pregnancy. Yes, Mickey and I are going to have a baby! Since we had our first doctors visit that same day and everything is looking good, we have started to spread the word to family and friends. My due date is October 30. This means our baby could be potentially be born Uncle Drew's birthday (Oct 30), or Auntie Pam's birthday (Oct 29) or even Halloween. At our next doctors appointment on April 17 we will be able to hear our babies heartbeat and our third visit (sometime in mid May) will hopefully reveal our babies gender. What do you think the gender will be? We will keep the blog updated. Yay!

California and Canada

Greetings! This blogging is new to me but I thought I would start out by summing up Mickey and I. I grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Mickey grew up in Alameda California before we came to BYU. We met in our BYU ward (at ward prayer) October of 2005. We were engaged at the end of February and married on July 5, 2006 in the Mount Timpanogos temple. It will be three years this July! We are both currently going to school. However, I graduate this April in Music and Elementary Education and Mickey graduates this December in Athletic Training. We are excited to soon venture away from Provo so that Mickey and hopefully earn his masters degree.
The two things Mickey and I have most in common is our ever growing love for our families and our extreme quirkiness. We also both love playing and watching sports and eating fast food before, during or after.
To learn more, stay tuned. Exciting announcements are coming!
