First Christmas in Canada..sort of

DECEMBER
Ice Skating

To celebrate Great Grandma Campbell's birthday Grandma took her and mommy to see Holiday on Ice with Kirt Browning and some other amazing figure skaters.

We were all very engaged as Papa showed us pictures and told stories from his youth.

One night (after a nap) Cooper got to help Grandma make some chocolate covered oreos. Cooper was the "plopper".

Our family did our best to do a 25 days of service challenge in December. What a great way to spread the Christmas spirit and remember the true meaning of Christmas!

Houston's school Christmas Concert

Our first Medicine Hat Tiger's game! We got to throw stuffies on the ice after the first goal. Cooper was obsessed with the mascot, Rrroary. He still speaks of him often.

Wilcock inside joke

Mom continued to teach piano and combined with a friend who also teaches piano for a Christmas recital:

We had all the Schlenker side over for a Christmas celebration. Cooper loved all the attention:
With Garth
With Kierra

With Uncle Larry

Grandma's adult choir performed Handel's Messiah and it was amazing!

Then it was off to Montana for Christmas in a winter wonderland. We didn't even have the bags unpacked before the boys were out sledding.
Uncle Mark brought a huge, difficult puzzle that was addicting

Day at the Ski hill. Houston is much improved and loved exploring the big hills. Damon did well for his first official ski day though he was pretty floppy on the skis.

Houston and mom went as long as they possibly could on the mountain. But the fatigue must have caught up with Houston because on their last chair lift, Houston forget to get off and had to ride all the way down and all the way back up by himself. Poor guy!

For New years, we invited some friends from Medicine hat to come party with us.

We played hard, ate like champions and lit fireworks on the ice. That was followed up with brownies, ice cream and a dance party before the (pretend) kid count down. It was magical!

We had one day with Uncle Derek all to ourselves before he left for Utah.
Loving our super hero blanket from Uncle Derek too!
and other great gifts
